I’ve had buttock injections 2 years ago. By a lady that’s certified for fillers/ thread. Not sure what she injected in my buttock. I did it one time. And I’m pregnant currently I’m worried if it will affect me or taking epidural non of the doctors I go to or explain my situation are familiar with my situation. I just get buttock pain sometimes. I don’t feel the injections there or lumps. Maybe it desolved I did an mri there was no fluid or any lumps found. Just the tissue was a bit inflammation.

Answer: Silicone Injections Buttock Silicone Injections Illegal Silicone Injections Pregnant With Silicone Injections Thank you for your question regarding silicone injections two years ago by a "certified lady". Based on the MRI results, it's important to consider the last sentence. Specifically, "susceptibility artifact in signal abnormality within the gluteal subcutaneous fat may reflect the sequel of injection granulomas or cosmetic filler". This means on the MRI that they found residual results of what was injected. Most fillers dissolve at two years. It's my opinion that what you had injected was probably not a dissolvable filler or FDA-approved filler. It is my opinion that what was injected was probably silicone because it's lasted for over two years and has given you granulomas. Since you are pregnant at this time, there is nothing you can do about it. There is no antibiotic or steroid or magic hyaluronidase injection that can get rid of the silicone. In my opinion, I would wait until the pregnancy is over then reconsider getting the product removed. If it is perhaps a dissolvable filler (after you have your baby), you may want to consider a product called hyaluronidase. Hyaluronidase may dissolve the filler. However, if it is silicone, it will do nothing. In conclusion, I would wait until your pregnancy is done before further addressing this matter. I think surgery or other injections to treat these prior fillers may not be wise since you are pregnant. Thank you for your question regarding injections received two years ago by a "certified lady". I specialize in silicone buttock removal and subsequent buttock reconstruction. I am the Director and chief clinical investigator at the Institute of Silicone Removal. Since removing silicone from the buttock is a big procedure, please seek an experienced, board-certified plastic surgeon with significant experience in removing silicone from the buttock. Do your research. Make sure they have performed at least 100 buttock silicone removal surgeries and have the before and after pictures to prove it. Carefully examine their before and after pictures and check their reviews on RealSelf. If you cannot find an experienced, buttock silicone removal surgeon in your neighborhood, consider traveling out of state if you must. Sincerely, Dr. Katzen.
