Hello Anges,If you fractured a tooth in the front, a very good cosmetic dentist should be able to veneer that tooth, matching the shade and shape of that tooth without a noticeable difference. I have done this many times for patients. It is not necessary to get four veneers if you are not changing the shade or size of the teeth. I would recommend choosing your dentist wisely by looking at before and after pics of patients that dentist has done. This will prevent you having to have the procedure redone in a short time period or prevent you from having a non matching tooth. Good luck and I hope this helps. If you are thinking to have porcelain veneers, it is best to have them all done in one time. The reason being:You will have less time in the dental chair.the color and shape of your porcelain veneers will be matched far better! You will not be needing a custom dental work for each veneer, consequently not absorbing further cost of color and shape matching by your cosmetic dentist. In a nut shell do not do your dental veneers one at a time. You will not be happy.
With a master lab technician and digital shade matching it should not be a problem to replace one veneer and have it match the others. Schedule an appointment with an experienced cosmetic dentist and it should only take two appointments to complete. Good luck.
It is not impossible to match a new veneer to your existing veneers. We use digital photographs and shade tabs to help the lab visualize the shape, contour and color of your existing veneers. It may take a few appointments to get the shade correct!
Good morning,Sorry to hear about your broken veneer. I have been doing Cosmetic Dentistry for over 26 years and have been using the same laboratories since I started. I am always confident in these artists that they can match the other veneers if they look good so in my hands I would say yes you can. Sometimes however, it is not as easy for a ceramist to match just one tooth therefore, my answer is...it depends on the lab and the dentist. Replacing one tooth is definitely more challenging yet certainly can be done.Hope this helps!Amanda Canto DDS
Unfortunately, there is no way to resurface preexisting veneers/crowns without compromising the structural integrity of the veneers/crowns. My best advice to you would be for you to have only some of the veneers/crowns redone, the ones that show in your smile. Just make sure that you...
You have a few different options with this. You can go a surgical route, which would likely include crowning most of your teeth after re-positioning your mandible. This would be a major process with a long painful recovery period. The other option would be to only get veneers...
Hello Steph,Sorry to hear what's happened, but I can tell you that I would have the veneers removed because they do not look good at all. You can ask your current dentist to redo them, if you'd like to give him another try and not spend more money, or you can possibly go elsewhere and...
