Photos tell the story. My skin was much much more even prior to IPL treatment. Makeup does not fully even my skin tones. Lots of questions... Was this bad technique? Should I find a new dermatologist? Do the stripes eventually fade together? If so, how long should I expect? I’ll be avoiding the sun. Is there anything else I can proactively do? I appreciate any help.

Answer: Horrible Technique! Thanks for your question and posting pictures. You are correct; your pictures tell the story. Your clinician had horrible technique and missed several spots. The flip side is that the places they treated look much better. It's up to you about seeking another provider. Depending your age, we might recommend trying the PicoSure FOCUS. It is excellent for brown pigment and also works on texture, fine lines and wrinkles. It is safe for all skin types. I hope this helps.

Answer: Pigmentation after IPL These marks should eventually fade. Good skin care in the meantime if very important to prevent any complications. Gentle cleanser, light exfoliation, moisterizer and sunscreen are essential. If you have not been given post care instructions you should contact your provider for advice.
