I just got my temporary veneer and it is so much darker than my original tooth that I wanted to get fixed. Are temporary veneers suppose to be darker? Please help. It is on my front tooth number 8. I told them I was not happy and they said that it is suppose to be like that for the temporary is that true. Please please help. I am crying my eyes out right now.

Answer: Temporary veneers are not perfect Unfortunately, temporary veneers are limited in colors. We basically have 3-4 choices. We do our best to match for the short time the temporary is worn, but most of our efforts are towards the final restoration.

Answer: Temoprary veneers Temporary veneers are made of acrylic. When they are fitted they feel rough and too big for your mouth. The adhesive used to fix them in place is painted on to the front and backs of your teeth, so you can no longer feel the backs of your real teeth. Because you have a rough layer of adhesive on the backs of your front teeth, your bottom teeth are not able to slot in behind them as they usually would. This tends to push your lower teeth back slightly in your mouth and will probably give you jaw ache. With the final veneers, you will be able to feel the backs of your old teeth and your bottom row of teeth should sit comfortably behind your front teeth as they always used to.
