Its been a week since i got my implants. I got 450cc saline, but why are they so small still? I dont see a difference. I know they are still high up and i need to give it time but honestly i see no change in size. Nor are they nice round breast, they have more of a "man pec" look. Also, one looks bigger than the other.
Answer: Implants too small Thanks for ur question! I am a plastic surgeon in ur area (LBK) who performs hundreds of BAM's per year. I agree with others that ur result is still so early, there may b some swelling & upward positioning of ur implants. I would def voice ur size concerns; however, if this situation doesn't improve over the next 3 months. It is possible that if u r not happy with ur size at around one year from surgery, u may consider adding more saline, or exchanging ur implants for a larger size. Best of luck!

CONTACT NOW Answer: Size immediately post op Hello,Thank you for your question and photos. You should have the manufacturer info for your specific implants which would have come with the devices- you can review that information to be sure about what you have. Sometimes when the muscles are quite strong and tight and skin/tissue is tight, breast implant volume is under a lot of pressure up and outward. This can compress them- making them look smaller and the squared look is due to swelling in your pectoral muscles and implant volume displaced upward. You are very early post op so you will need to try to be patient and wait for them to soften, drop and fluff- between 2-6 months post op.All the best

Answer: Small Implants Thank you for your question and congratulations on your recent procedure! You are still very early in the healing process and need to allow time for the implant to "drop" into place and become more a part of you (generally around the 3 month mark.) It's best to wait until this time when the implants are in place before making any decisions. Good luck and congratulations again!

Answer: Breast Implants/ Breast Augmentation/ Anatomic Gummy Bear Implants/ Silicone Implants/ Breast Implant Revision Surgery I appreciate your question. Right now, you are very early on in the post op recovery period. It will take 3-6 months for you to feel comfortable having implants in your body and for them to settle. This time allows for you to physically and psychologically adapt to your new body image. There are many variables that contribute to a breast augmentation's final result. Preop size and shape, IMF location, location of the implants and type of implant. Patients heal at different rates and each breast will sometimes heal at a different rate. You will not lose any volume but the way your implant sits on your chest wall will change, and can result in different ‘fills’ to your bra. Rest, relax, recover and heal. Please Express your concerns to your surgeon so he/she can examine you at this time. Then reassess final result at 6 months. The best way to assess and give true advice would be an in-person exam. Please see a board-certified plastic surgeon that specializes in aesthetic and restorative breast surgery. Best of luck!Dr. Schwartz

Answer: I was a 32B and got 450cc, but why are they still so small? Congratulations on having undergone the breast augmentation procedure. You should be aware that a significant percentage of patients at your stage of recovery will feel that they are too big or (more commonly) too small.I routinely ask my patients to wait at least 3-6 months before evaluating the end results of the breast augmentation surgery. This waiting time allows patients to (usually) physically and psychologically adapt to the new body image. There are both physiological and “psychological” reasons to wait on having revisionary surgery. From the physiological standpoint, it takes many months ( and even up to one year) to see the final results of surgery. factors such as swelling, tissue contraction, skin redraping, implant shifting etc. come into play. From the psychological standpoint, patients undergo an “adaptation period" during which time they get used to the changes that the surgical procedure has brought about. Severe emotional swings can also occur after any type of surgical procedure. In my opinion, the "drop and fluff” phenomenon does hold some validity; as breast implants “settle”, many patients feel that their breasts actually look larger. Although online consultants cannot predict whether or not you will be pleased with the long-term outlook, of the procedure performed, it is safe to predict that the breasts will change. In your case, I would suggest continued patience. Continue to follow-up with your plastic surgeon. Best wishes.
