I had an anchor lift with 400cc saline implants. I have felt like my breasts were never up enough. My doctor didn't put in the size we discussed either. My main concern is how can I possibly use another breast lift when I already had one? The discount he gave me for another one is a joke. Is there a way to get a refund? Or is this normal to happen? I'm more depressed now than ever? I can't possibly afford to have another surgery. Any information will be greatly appreciated.

Answer: Changes after an augmentation mastopexy do occur and that is why most doctors have 'revision' policies for things that don't work out as well as we would like. Having problems within a year qualifies you for a 'revision' with most doctors who have a policy in place. This allows for reduced costs (significantly) for our patients. But without knowing more of the details mentioned by the other doctors, its hard to be more specific as to suggestions. Bottoming out is very common and a fixable problem. But you must be clear with your surgeon as to what you expect and then your surgeon will know better which way to fix it. With social media your friend, you can always provide an objective review if you remain dissatisfied with how things are handled.

Answer: Repeat breast lift at one year. The short answer is it is not normal to need another breast lift one year after surgery. It would be helpful to know more about your physique ( age, height, weight, starting breast cup size before pregnancy, cup size prior to breast lift). Was the implant placed on top of or under the muscle? It would also be helpful to know if implant was round, smooth or textured, which profile (high, moderate or low), or if the implant was breast shaped. It does not matter that the implant was saline. With the information you provided, All I can fairly say is that lifts done with large round smooth implants placed on top of the muscle have a greater chance of relapsing than lifts done with textured implants placed under the muscle.
