If I don't like my tooth bonding results, can I still get veneers after it's worn off?

It will not be a problem to have porcelain veneers placed if you are not happy with the bonding.  It would only take an additional two appointments to make this transition.  

The answer is yes! You can do veneers after dental bonding. But maybe it is better depending on your needs to have the veneers done from get go. There is different indications for veneers and bonding.
Depending on your bite and depending on your dietary habit, and the extent of dental bonding procedure, the treatment can last a long time.

Hi:Normally when you get a bonding, you can still get a veneer if you are not happy with the results.  If the enamel of he tooth is not touched then the bonding can be taken off without much damage to the tooth.Best,Dr. Maddahi

Yes you could get Veneers  if you don't like the way your bonding looks. You do not have to wait until they wear off, you could get them at any time. In our office before we place bonding on a tooth,  we place a trial bond so the patient can see what the final result will look like. If they do not like it, then we do not proceed with the  permanent  bonding.  If they like it, then we place the permanent bonding as the patient knows how it will look  and that they will like it. 
Bonding can be removed at any time. Usually bonding can be done without any removal of tooth structure. In this case it is a totally reversible procedure. Porcelain veneers usually require preparation of the teeth and are and excellent option if you do not like the way  your bonded tooth appears.

Actually in my photo gallery on this sight I have an example of porcelain veneers on the front six teeth. These veneers replaced bonding that I had placed 15 years previously. The patient was not able to afford porcelain veneers in the beginning. The results were sensational.

If the dentist is careful enough to not fill down too much of the enamel of your teeth and is delicate when removing the dental bonding, then there should be no problem at all.
