I plucked the baby hairs towards the front of my hairline, and I did it for around 2 years. I ended up plucking hair in my actual hairline, completely messing it up, and now I want to grow it back. It's been about 6 months and a lot of the hairs have grown, but some parts of it look quite unnatural.

Answer: Hairline plucking Hair plucking damages hairs. It can lead to inflammation and sometimes even scarring. If it's done once or twice it usually grows back without any problems. However, if it's done repeatedly, it often won't all grow back. The inflammation and scarring prevents full regrowth. See a dermatologist if you're worried. There are options to try to drive the hairs towards growth and try to block inflammation. Steroid injections, minoxidil, and a few other things can be attempted - it can help a bit but never fully if there has been chronic pulling.
