Does composite resin bonding last long if it's bonded to the bottom of your front teeth?

I read somewhere that when it's added to the bottom of your teeth as opposed to filling in gaps between teeth that it won't last long. But if I really took care of it as I should anyway by flossing carefully and brushing as well as not biting into anything hard, could they still last while eating and drinking regularly? Will there be any added sensitivity to cold or hot things? I've asked so many questions in the past few days but I'm just trying to do all of my research on different options.
