Dear patient, I have used Bellafill on many occasions to strengthen the jawline and as a chin implant substitute. It works well but is somewhat tricky to do. I have to start by telling you that bellafill is FDA approved for the treatment of naso labial folds and acne scarring. Treating the jawline or chin is an "off label" use of a product that is FDA approved. I make this clear to my patients and get their permission. The biggest risk with Bellafill are twofold. A small percentage of patients can develop an allergic reaction to the Bovine Collagen part of the filler. I usually test spot my patients 2 weeks before injecting Bellafill. I have treated and tested hundreds of patients but have never seen an allergic reaction. I believe these are very very rare. the second and possibly more serious adverse reaction is "granuloma formation". If large droplets of the filler are placed too superficial to the skin it can possibly ball up and cause a hard nodule under the skin. After injecting hundreds of syringes of bellafill I have come across this twice. Both patients did great with massage and injection of an anti-inflammatory called Kenelog. Iin summary; yes Bellafill is a great filler to strengthen the jawline but it should be skin tested and used judiciously by an experienced Dermatologist.
Bellafill is an excellent long lasting filler but, at the same time, Bellafill is FDA approved for the treatment of nasolabial folds and acne scarring only. Other uses are considered "off-label".Physician experience indicates that Bellafill is great as a structure support on the bone as well as, in some instances, in the soft tissues. The key is to see experience injector as bellafill is not as forgiving as HA fillers and it is difficult to be removed if issues occur. Please make sure that you see an experienced doctor for a thorough consultation and assessment prior to undergoing any treatments.Best regards and I hope this helps, Dr. Sapijaszko.
Bellafill can be used to enhance and define the jawline structure. Although, Radiesse is more commonly used to create structure along the jawline and chin. Jawline contouring requires a lot of product to create a satisfactory result in most patients. Often requiring 4ml. Some patient further enhance their jawline with Belkyra (Kybella) injections below the chin creating a more defined neck/ jawline.Dr. Solomon
Fillers that are good for contouring the bony facial skeleton are Bellafill, Voluma, Radiesse, and Restylane Lyft. Bellafill is a longer lasting filler which comes in smaller 0.8cc syringes.
Yes, the jawline can be improved with fillers, like Bellafill, and/or Sculptra. Keep in mind, it will take several months for results with Bellafill. See a facial sculpting expert for an evaluation. Best, Dr. Emer
I actually do this quite frequently and am in the midst of writing a paper about my experience. Depending on age, it can require 2-8 syringes. It usually requires multiple sessions if you use more than 3 or 4. It is a great long lasting filler for this area. I use cannulas for safest and best results. Younger patients need 1-2. Satisfaction scores are very high. I have trademarked reJAWvenation (TM) and lecture around the world about this topic.
I have done beautiful sculpting with Bellafill. The jawline looks amazing. I would highly recommend it if you know what you like with HAs in the jawline.
Hello!!! Yes, the jawline can be formed and improved with fillers, such as Bellafill. Bellafill is FDA approved up to 5 years. I would consult an expert in your area before proceeding! Best of luck
Bellafill can be used to define the jawline, and will last for about 5 years. If it is your first time treating the jawline I would suggest using a filler such as Juvaderm Voluma or Restylane Defyne. Both of these products can be broken down with an injection of hyaluronidase if you did not like the final result.
Thank you for your question. Yes, Bellafill can be used to firm the jaw line and will yield a very long lasting result. While Bellafill has an FDA clearance of 5 years, the product never goes away. Hence, it is important to have a very experienced injector place this product.I hope this was helpful - Dr. Moore.
I guess the correction worked! Of course it is fine to take Viagra anytime during the course of Bellafill treatments. There is no effect on results.
A combination approach will give the most improvement. These types of scars need a combination of fillers with lasers, microneedling/prp, Cosmelan, and subcision. It will take a series of treatments and will need some treatments to maintain. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with an acne s...
The initial response is mostly related to the collagen carrier which is absorb in about 6 weeks. It takes 3-4 months to see your own body's results kick in. It will continue to get better from there.
