There should be no harm to your baby by having a Bellafill treatment while you are still breastfeeding, but in general, it is not recommended that breastfeeding women have any unnecessary medications or treatments to be on the safe side. Medical studies are not normally performed on breastfeeding or pregnant women because no one would want to take any risk of harm to a fetus or infant. The Bellafill, and the collagen in the injection, would not normally circulate throughout the body, so the substance should not reach your breast milk. I would recommend not having any other unnecessary treatments until after you are finished breastfeeding.
Hello! In general we go not recommend any of our clients who are either pregnant or breastfeeding to do any unnecessary treatments as their is a lack of clinical evidence regarding this. What I do know about Bellafill is that the Bellafill injection would not reach the circulatory system and therefore would not affect the breastmilk...but again we would not recommend this injection or others while breastfeeding just to be on the safe side for you and your baby.
