Would Bellafill be a good solution for my visible pores and scars? (Photos)

A combination approach will give the most improvement. These types of scars need a combination of fillers with lasers, microneedling/prp, Cosmelan, and subcision. It will take a series of treatments and will need some treatments to maintain. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with an acne scarring expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Hello!   At our clinic we recommend a combination treatment. Bellafill is an FDA approved filler for acne scars and lasts ulctk 5 years.  Bellafill will help fill the area. Then we also use skin pen/microneedling and also our INFINI RF laser. Combination treatment gets at all layers of the skin for optimal treatment. In this context filler can be used as a foundation to plump the cheeks from underneath- this can work in some individuals. Bellafill, Restylane, Juvederm can all achieve this. Another technique is to use a more fluid filler very superficially, Bellafill is NOT suited for this method, as is is best used for larger atrophic scars. This gives a few other choices- microbotox: this is not as predictable as filler and does not last as long, namely repeated 3-4 months. In this context I do prefer lasers- namely fractional lasers with microneedling PRP, results are predictable, and much longer lasting than microbotox of superficial fillers. From your photos it appears that you may be a candidate for Bellafill.  It does appear that you would be best suited to start with microneedling however.  Deep microneedling, at least 2 mm or more, unsually results in a very nice improvement for situations like yours.  I usually reserve Bellafill for the scars that do not appreciably improve after at least 3 sessions of microneedling.I hope that helps.  Best regards
