I read a lot about the Ideal implant but i can't find information or experiences regarding filling percentage. What filling percentage feels most natural, "ful" or 100%? Is the change of rippling and/or folding higher when its filled only to "full"(85-90%) ? When is the implant more palpable, when filled 100% or when filled less than 100%? In what case would one choose for 'full' and in what case for 100% ? These questions are specifically for the Ideal breast implant, not other saline implants!
Answer: How to determine the fill volume of the IDEAL Implant?? Ask Dr Ellen Those are great questions and I think I can simplify this for you. The IDEAL Implant does offer a range of fill volumes. The adjustment of the volume shifts the diameter and projection of the implant as well as the firmness.I have found that with any adjustable fill device, it is best to select near the mid range of volume (high and 100%) to achieve the most "natural" feel. What is unique about this device is that there are 2 chambers that hold the saline. So unlike the standard saline implant, the distribution of the IDEAL volume is partitioned which enables the outer (more superficial) portion to be adjusted up or down to meet the goal of the patient. With that said, I would take the time to feel the implant yourself so you are as confident in the product as I am.In addition, as my colleagues have noted, the quality of "feel" is somewhat subjective so it is key to have clear communication with your surgeon and to have the your breasts examined for dimensional planning and placement. As with all implants, the amount of padding over the implant is the biggest determining factor in how the implant feels. Rippling is not the issue, but the more superficial the implant is, the more you will feel the shell. Also, the larger the implant you select, the more superficial it will feel.Take a look at the link below. In good health,Ellen Mahony, MD

Answer: Ideal Implant Good day! For your guidance, here is a list of generalized breast implant sizing for most patients: · 32A to 32C needs about 250-275cc · 34A to 34C needs about 300-350cc · 36A to 36C needs about 350-400cc It is best to find a size in proportion with your whole body. Overfilling the implant can cause rippling that will eventually end up in a rupture. Contact your surgeon and discuss realistic goals and expectations when deciding which implants are the best for you. Best of luck! #RealSelf100

Answer: Filling the Ideal implants wit the "ideal" amount of saline I routinely used the "high" amount of saline for the implants and the patients are pleased with the feel. However, I have also used the "100%" amount with equally good results. Either way, I think you may really be pleased with your Ideal implant results.

Answer: How much to fill the Ideal implant The answer to this will largely depend on your inherent tissue characteristics, how much native breast tissue you have and the look your are trying to achieve. When placed under the muscle with a normal amount of SQ fat and at least a B cup size volume, I usually fill to 100%- if my patient desires just a touch more projection and roundness. If I want the implant to hug the contours of the rib cage better, so no side shelf of implant felt ,I will fill to full.. Remember though, volume differences are just in tablespoon(s) range, so this isn't a huge decision to make. Your best answer will be communicating your wishes to your surgeon and letting her/him make the decision.

Answer: Ideal implant filling The ideal implant has two compartments; the front and back compartments; the back is filled to a set amount; the front compartment has some give and has a range of fill volumes; Traditionally speaking, I think that 80% of full volume will provide adequate volume to prevent rippling yet not be too firm and thus soft in feel like a silicone implant.
