Hi I had my veneers done but I feel my front tooth look like a rabbit Can I get them shorter My upper lips is short

Hi. If your main concern is that your two front teeth are too long, the best solution is to re-contour or reshape your two front teeth. This procedure is called “enameloplasty”. The goal of dental veneers is to change the size, shape, color & alignment of your teeth to improve your smile. The color, shape and alignment of your teeth look good in this photo. If size of the two front teeth being too long is your main concern, I would shorten them by recontouring the edges of your two front teeth. This will save not only money but unnecessary removal of healthy tooth structure (even though veneers can be done with minimal tooth removal). Just make sure that the dentist you work with doesn’t shorten them too much because the two front teeth should be slightly longer than the two adjacent teeth so that you can have proper protective function of your bite. This function is called “anterior guidance”. This prevents your other surrounding teeth from prematurely engaging and getting damaged during function and “grinding” movements. Each tooth was designed to play a specific role so find a dentist who understands good occlusion (bite relations) philosophy. Good function & good aesthetics go hand in hand. With this said, if there are other concerns about your smile that is not apparent in this photo, look forward a dentist who can provide minimal prep veneers. All the best to you!

you have two options,the best one is to do braces and to bring that bite to a correct position,the situation is that at the end you will have a good oclusion,but you will still have the same teeth,with the same shape,size and color,and it will take up to 1 year aprox.now if you do not want to have braces or having braces is not part of your plans,

Good morning- Yes I would recommend shortening the 2 central incisors, and I would aslo suggest the to fill out your smile more correctly- that you do veneers on 2  more  teeth. 1 tooth behind each canine.Those 2 teeth have 'disappeared' in your smile.
