I have a veneer on my front bottom tooth and recently had to have a root canal on that tooth if the veneer breaks can I replace it or do I now have to get a crown?

Answer: Veneer vs Crown Hello, porcelain veneers are bonded to the front part of your tooth and root canals are accessed through the back part of your tooth. There should be no problem with the veneer fracturing, yet if it happens tooth should be evaluated to see if a veneer or crown is a better option.

Answer: Root canal on a veneer The root canals are done on the back of the tooth. Veneers dontcover the tooth on the back. The cavitie or hole is sealed with resin once the root canal is performed. On the other hand crown veneers do cover the entire tooth. and the endodontic doctor will seal off the cavitie he does on your crown veneer just like he would for your natural tooth. If a veneer brakes we need to do an impression and redo the veneer.
