I have had a small mole on my bottom lip for about 3 years. It has never caused me great concern and hasn’t been super noticeable. After my recent pregnancy it has grown and become darker - to where people are commenting on it and it looks more like a sore. What are my options for removal?
Answer: Cosmetic Dermatologist Mole Removal -- shave, excision - emeragecosmetics photo plus, emerageskin aox c, Reveskin 1.0 retinol I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Moles can be removed with laser, radiowave or shave. There is always a chance of scar but this can be reduced with good technique and the right treatment choice. You need to pretreat this area with emerageskin AOX-C, Skinceuticals phytoplus in the AM and Reveskin retinol 1.0 at night with fortified bleaching cream or vivatia foam. Best, Dr. Eme

Answer: This can be done via hyfercation Mole removal begins with a comprehensive examination and consultation to determine the likelihood of a mole being worrisome. Excisional and incisional biopsies are reserved for suspicious moles. But it’s good news that most moles are not problematic and are only cosmetic, thus leading to the option of scarless or non-surgical mole removal with lasers and RF and plasma. Our office specializes in non-surgical mole removal. Best, Dr. Raffy Karamanoukian Realself 100 Surgeon

Answer: Mole removal Thanks for your question. You should have the lesion evaluated by a board certified dermatologist. If they think it looks concerning, they will probably numb your lip with a small injection of local anesthetic, and do a shave removal of the mole, then cauterize or seal off the base of the mole. It will most likely end up with a barely noticeable scar that is flat and will blend in well with the rest of your lips. There is probably no need for an excision, or elliptical shaped area of skin to be removed around the lesion. It should be just removed with a simple shave and then sent to pathology for evaluation. The scar will be less noticeable if they don't put sutures in and just leave it flat to heal. Please see an expert, and best of luck!

Answer: Lip mole Difficult to determine diagnosis based off the images, but a small vertical excisional biopsy of the mole should heal well and hide within the lip creases. I would seek out a plastic surgeon to perform this procedure. Hope this helps. Dr. W

Answer: Skin evaluation Thank you for your question and photographs. It's difficult to evaluate your skin through this type of forum, but from what I can see, it can be a mole or blood vessel lesion called an angioma. Depending on the type of lesion, removal options can vary from cryotherapy (freezing) to shave biopsy or excision. Each option comes with different risks. I highly recommend you consult with a board certified dermatologist to have your skin evaluated and to discuss appropriate removal options. Take care and good luck.
