Mole removal begins with a comprehensive examination and consultation to determine the likelihood of a mole being worrisome. Excisional and incisional biopsies are reserved for suspicious moles. But it’s good news that most moles are not problematic and are only cosmetic, thus leading to the option of scarless or non-surgical mole removal with lasers and RF and plasma. Our office specializes in non-surgical mole removal. Best,Dr. Raffy KaramanoukianRealself 100 Surgeon
Hi, thanks for your question. Yes, it is possible to remove your mole. Most moles do not need to be removed, but if this one bothers you, you can certainly look into having it removed. I would recommend booking an in person consultation with a dermatologist or board certified plastic surgeon that specializes in minor procedures in order to examine your mole and assess whether it is harmless (most are) and the best way to remove it. Mole removal is typically a minor procedure done under local anesthetic. Just be sure to choose someone with a lot of experience as you want to be sure to have no to very minimal scarring in the area where your mole is located.
I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Moles can be removed with laser, radiowave or shave. There is always a chance of scar but this can be reduced with good technique and the right treatment choice. You need to pretreat this area with emerageskin AOX-C, Skinceuticals phytoplus in the AM and Reveskin retinol 1.0 at night with fortified bleaching cream or vivatia foam. Best, Dr. Emer
The mole between your eyebrows could be removed if you liked. If the mole is raised, it could be shaved off. If the mole is flat, it may need to be excised.
Thanks for your question and photo. You probably do not need to have this mole removed, but it might be a good idea to have a dermatologist take a close look at it to make sure it looks normal. If you do not like it, the dermatologist can remove it with a simple shave technique and send it in for pathological examination to make sure it is benign (not cancer). Another removal option is a small excision with sutures (stiches), but that will leave a small line that will look like a little wrinkle. Please see an expert, and best of luck!
Thank you for your question and photograph. Moles can be removed in a variety of ways, but the scarring outcome is what differs. A shave biopsy can be performed where the lesion is shaved off and cauterized leaving a circular indentation as a scar and possibility of the mole returning. Another option is an excision where the mole is cut out and sutures are placed resulting in a linear scar. Laser treatment is an option but results can very per individual. I highly recommend you consult with a board certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon to have your skin evaluated and to discuss appropriate treatment options that best suit your needs. Take care and good luck.
Thank you for your question and photograph. It's difficult to evaluate your skin through this type of forum, but from what I can see, your skin growth looks irritated and inflamed from the trauma. The area should heal on its own, however, if the bump starts to grow or bleed easily, then I...
Some people have a genetic disposition towards keloids. If you get keloids, I would suggest cortisone injections after mole removal followed by diligent application of a scar gel. In my practice, I prefer Sequel Scar Defense gel twice daily. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian
Mole removal is also possible via cryo or liquid nitrogen but the laser technique (CO2 laser) is more recommended. The average cost for mole removal is INR 3,000 to 5,000
