Had a laser mole removal. Dermatologist wanted to get rid of all of it so he told me he went deeper than normal. I'm fine with that since it has no chance of coming back, but now I'm left with this indention. What is the best treatment to improve this? It's not super deep but it is noticeable. Thank you.

Answer: Indentation you can try having this corrected with fillers. if there's scar tissue contraction that is creating the indentation then fillers may not do the job. direct surgical excision is another option that to do this correctly you will have a scar that's 3-4 times longer than the indentation. the face is pretty forgiving for scarce but is not forgiving for three-dimensional Contour irregularities. having a flat Contour with a minimally visible scar is often far better than having no scar but an indentation that throws a shadow that can be seen from across the room. best, Mats Hagstrom MD
