Does microneedling really work to tighten saggy skin? Can it also promote collagen to rebuild the skin around the eye?

Morpheus 8 is a non-invasive skin and soft tissue tightening treatment that is consistently amazing in our patients. We use the Morpheus to exact fractional induced RF into the skin or tissue in order to tighten collagen and stimulate contraction of the tissue. For acne scars, it is quite useful to build collagen in patients who have atrophic scars but is not very productive for ice-pick scars which require TCA Cross. For tissue tightening, Morpheus is ideal for the face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Ultherapy to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity. Avoid exfoliating skin treatments before Morpheus and expect a period of 2-4 weeks for skin contraction to set in.

A combination approach is needed to get the most improvement with skin tightening for the face. I recommend J Plasma, lasers (Fraxel, Clear + Brilliant, Co2), microneedling/prp, ultherapy and rf treatments to get the best outcomes. At my practice, we use the Jeisys INTRAcel RF Microneedling device. With multiple treatments spaced about a month a part, our patients have seen incredible results in terms of plumpness, volume and overall vitality. With this type of collagen generation, it’s not an immediate result, and you may not start to see the results from the first treatment until the second, but the compound effect over time yields great results. I’d highly recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon to see if this method might be a good fit for you.

Sorry to hear about your situation. Microneedling is a great treatment for stimulating collagen production and addressing uneven skin texture and enlarged pores. Facial volume loss, however, is best treated using fillers like Sculptra Aesthetic.
