Nose tip gets red and cold easily 1.5 years after rhinoplasty (Photo)

Question

I am 1.5 years post op with super thin skin after a closed rhinoplasty and when its a tad colder inside or when im outside the tip of nose gets so cold and red and purple. The quality of the skin seems to be so bad, my skin also blanches where cartilage bumps are and sometimes i get a small scab in the middle. Is this something to be worried about? Thanls in advance

That said, I do agree that you have a significant amount of redness of the lower 1/3 of your nose. If you develop a scab on the external skin of your nasal tip at times, that is not normal. If your surgeon utilized permanent suture material to alter your nasal tip cartilages, perhaps you are sensitive to this material and it may be causing inflammation. Severity of the redness in your photos, please consult with your surgeon or another reputable rhinoplasty specialist. Try to get a copy of your operative report might be helpful as well. I’ve seen that a few times after someone has had a rhinoplasty with a tip cartilage graft. If this sounds like you consider having the graft removed
