Thank you for sharing your photos and update. What you’re noticing when you smile is often caused by the mentalis muscle in the chin contracting strongly, which can make the chin look uneven, dimpled, or pointy.Botox can definitely help relax that muscle, softening the uneven appearance and giving the chin a smoother, more balanced look both at rest and when smiling. The key is to use precise, small doses so the result looks natural without affecting your smile. It’s a fairly common concern and usually responds very well to treatment. Results typically last a few months, and touch-ups can maintain the effect if you like the outcome.
You have a beautiful shape to your chin and jawline. Botox would work to prevent the dimpling and shortening of the chin over time. It will not affect the "pointed" shape of the chin. Should you want to soften that - a good option would be filler. (Please see the attached video - first for Botox on the Walnut Chin (aka P'eau D'orange) and the next video on Chin Fillers.
Looks like the left side may be slightly lower when you smile. could try a mentalis injection of botox to correct it. It probably won't be completely symmetric after though.
I would definitely not treat your chin with Botox. Having Botox in the chin just to get rid of the pointy appearance, can cause asymmetry in your face while at rest as well as changes your speech pattern. Hope this helps some good luck from Leonard Grossman, MD organic plastic Surgery.
