8 months post-op. How can I alleviate an allergic response to Restylane?

I had .2 cc Restalyne injected into my glabella 8 months ago. An area about 1”x2” immediately got red. I went back to the physician injector 3 times about the redness but have’t gotten any relief. It’s itchy at times also. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can resolve this redness and itchiness issue? I tried steroid creams but that didn’t help. I had this same procedure done previously with no problems. Thank you very much!

In my opinion the glabella proper should NEVER be injected. I have performed large studies on filler complications and in terms of high risk there is not an area that is considered more high risk. I would simply consider dissolving whatever was injected w Hylenex.Otherwise see an injector who can have a look to make sure its not a true allergic response. Hope that helps!

If you've hard it done before with Restylane then it's most likely not an allergic reaction. However, it could be a compromised or blocked artery that's not totally blocked but just acts up periodically. I've seen this too many times to count. You need to see an injector who knows a lot about blocked arteries from fillers. This is NOT an ideal place for fillers unless you see someone extremely experienced. If you've returned to your injector 3x without help, I'd suggest a second opinion. "This answer has been solicited without seeing this patient and
