I started plucking my eyebrows without any problem before highschool, but as soon as highschool started, i felt more pressured each month about my appearance. I accidently started to overpluck without realizing it, soon they became thinner & thinner. I dated a guy for awhile but it didn't last due to abuse, so i felt in fault & shaved my eyebrows as a technique of self harm instead of cutting & such. Now my eyebrows are thin, uneven & won't regrow in some places, i've tried everything i knew.

Answer: Eyebrow hair loss From the sounds of it the prolonged period of over plucking your eyebrows might have caused permanent damage to the hair follicles. If you feel you have waited a sufficient amount of time and you still didn't see any growth in these areas this can mean the follicle itself has died and will no longer grow hair naturally. A hair transplant can definitely be an option for you if you have already tried other means of growth such as using Minoxidil.

Answer: Eyebrow loss : options It seems that overstyling and shaving contibuted to the loss, but be sure to review all the details with a hair specialist so that an up close exam can be done.Hair transplants are an option but you might consider minoxidil or bimatoprost (Latisse) as a first step. These are not formally approved for eyebrows but countless numbers of patients have used these treatments with good results. You will know in 5-6 months if these help or not.
