Is a scar revision the best solution to my c-section overhang? (Photos)

Question

2 c-sections; Last one was 5 years ago. I want to lose the overhang but do not want anything invasive like a TT or lipo. A scar revision has been suggested. My priority is minimal recovery time. Any thoughts based on my pics or your recovery process with this scar revision?

Hidef protocols can help with keloid and hypertrophic scars on the face and body. Surgery is often not needed if lasers are introduced. 
In our office, we combine treatments starting with topical pre-conditioning of the scars with Plato's Scar Serum for hypertrophy and Melarase PM for pigmentation. Fractional RF, laser, and micro fractional RF can help limit scar growth. Kenalog IIT can also help reduce scar thickness.

Hello and thank you for your question.  The best advice you can receive is from an in-person consultation.  Based on your photographs, you are a great candidate for a C-section scar revision with skin redraping to improve the abdominal wall contour.  This decision should be based on a detailed discussion with equal input from both you and your surgeon.   Make sure you specifically look at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results.

In truth, non-surgical options give only mild improvement compared to surgical lifting. Based on your photos and history, you look like a good candidate for a TT. Full tummy tuck should tighten your abdominal muscles and remove the excess skin. However, if you don't want a tummy tuck, then scar revision and liposuction might provide some improvement. I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon because only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.

Dear Alberta,Although a mini tummy tuck and scar revision of the tethered down scar would be the gold standard answer to help you out, the healing of the scar would be 6 weeks, and no lifting more than 5 lbs.
