Sure there are side effects of any drug. But keep in mind that if used properly and one keeps their follow up appointments as suggested, side effects are low. Using one bottle of clobetasol a week is not a good idea and is associated with a significant potential for side effects. However using one bottle every few months is a very very different story. If you are not sure of something, be sure to ask the prescribing physician. When used properly and for short periods of time, many topical steroids can be quite safe.
