Breast augmentation and liposuction combined procedure. What are costs, recovery time, etc.? (photos)

There are a number of factors that go into adding a second procedure. These include the length of time expected as this means more anesthesia and also a longer facility cost. Also expect your surgeon to increase the price somewhat. Usually this is somewhat discounted over a normal price and may be in the 2 to $3000 range depending on areas that are to be liposuction. Swelling following surgery occurs and although most of this goes in the first several weeks, final results are not noted until about 4 to 5 months postoperative. When having a combination procedure, remember that more than one area of your body will be sore and it is a bit more difficult to take care of yourself in terms of getting out of bed, bathing and things like that.

Certainly liposuction of your hips, abdomen and flanks can easily be performed at the same time as your breast augmentation.  Cost will vary depending on your examination, but combined procedure is typically less than doing it separately and also has the convenience of a simultaneous recovery.  The combined procedure would not increase the recovery of doing either alone, and typically you could be back to normal activity within 2 weeks.

Hi,In looking at your pictures, I notice that you are quite slender. l would focus the liposuction on your abdomen and flanks/sides. You will get very little benefit from liposuction of the back. If you did this at the same time as a breast augmentation, it would add about 45 min to the procedure and an extra $3000-3500. Recovery from the liposuction is fairly quick, but your final result would not be evident for several months (all the bruising and much of the swelling will be gone in 3-4 weeks however). Having lipo on your abs, flanks, and back will add about 1.5-2 hours to the procedure, and probably around $4000 additional cost (this is the surgeon fee and does not include OR time and anesthesia), though many surgeons will offer a discount for multiple procedures. Swelling after lipo is usually gone by about three months, and sooner in many patients, so if you are thinking about getting this done before summer, it’s probably doable. for a breast augmentation.  The size, profile, and shape of the
implant is based on your desired breast size/shape, your chest wall
measurements, and soft tissue quality.  This decision should
be based on a detailed discussion with equal input from both you
and your surgeon.  You are also a candidate
for waistline contouring liposuction of your abdomen, flanks, and lower
back.  This can greatly improve your overall shape with a smaller waist.  Cost varies based on geographic region and surgeon expertise.   Make sure you
specifically look at before and after pictures of real patients who have
had this surgery performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results.   The most important aspect is to find a
surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend that you seek consultation with a
qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate you in person.

Recovery will take 1-2 weeks until you can result normal activities and about 6 weeks until you’ll be ‘bikini ready’. Expect to add on $3000-$6000 for the liposuction but prices will vary by region and within each region by Surgeon. Your best bet is to see a few surgeons and get quotes to find out what the range in your area is. Ultimately you should go with the surgeon that you feel most comfortable with, not necessarily the least or most expensive one. Hope that helps!  

Christine.  Physical examination would be helpful because it appears from your photographs that you do not have a great deal of excess fat. However micro liposuction may be an option to contour your abdomen hips and back. The liposuction would not add to the recovery time from your breast augmentation however, postop op swelling may detract from early bikini time. While most of the swelling resolves six weeks after liposuction, it may take as long is 4 to 6 months for 100% of the swelling to dissipate. While there will be an additional cost for the Liposuction part of your procedure, there should be a fee reduction for doing them simultaneously. Recovery involves no heavy lifting or cardio for one month after surgery because of the breast augmentation, however you should be able to return to work within one week.Discuss your options with a board-certified plastic surgeon. The cost of these two procedures varies from place to place. You look to be an excellent candidate for both.  The recovery from liposuction is similar to breast augmentation. When you can wear a bikini depends on how much bruising you have. Bruising should not be in the sun once the bruising is gone you can be in the sun with a good sun block.  One month is a good estimate but it could be sooner. Good Luck

You are definitely an excellent candidate for an augmentation. I am not sure how much lipo will do for you. I would have to see you in person because you look pretty thin.  The fee will vary from doc to doc.
