Can areas that were treated with fat grafting grow uncontrollably?

I do a lot of fat grafting and liposuction and have never had an issue with uncontrolled fat grafting.  You want to find someone who does the most up to date harvesting techinques and uses PRP to prolong the survival of the fat.  Also, someone who can fix the fat grafting if there was a problem and we use a special injection technique to reverse bad fat grafting if needed ( as we see a lot of revision cases in our practice from outside poor technique ).  Best, Dr. Emer.

You are correct on both accounts. The fat that you transfer will behave like the fat that it originated from. If you gain weight, your face may get puffy.

Fat Grafting is an ideal filler for the area under the eyes. The fat survives very well and overfilling as some surgeons do, should be avoided. The fat injected can grow if you gain weight.
