Hi carolina1981Microneedling, particularly when combined with Plasma Rich Protein PRP has the ability to restore some of the changes associated with age and environmental exposure. These include adding and reorganizing collagen and improved smoothness. To learn more about this procedure, please visit our website.
Our office has many different treatments for acne scars depending on the depth of atrophy or hypertrophy. Acne scars require a combination approach using our HI DEF protocol which uses a combination of lasers, topical scar modulation, and RF treatments to pixelate scars, improve contour, reduce hyperpigmentation, and improve the visibility of the scars so that they are no longer visible in ambient light. Everyone has a unique pattern of acne scarring and we employ our HIDEF technique to improve texture, color, contour, and topography. We often use a combination of treatments that begin with a careful examination to examine the micro texturing of the acne scars. Atrophic acne scars and indented acne scars can benefit from injectable fillers such as Radiesse, Sculptra, and Restylane with or without subcision to remove tethered scars and atrophic depression. Hyper-redness in scars can be improved with V beam laser, Excel V, BBL, IPL, and Venus RF to improve the redness and reduce the visibility of deep scars. Fractional Thulium laser and clear & brilliant can also reduce the inflammation and redness of the scar when combined with topical therapy. Fractional lasers such as Fraxel, erbium, and CO2 laser can be combined with radio frequency and also fractional RF to improve textual issues and microtopography. Subcision and TCA cross are also used for deep ice pick scars and narrow valley scars in order to improve the micro texture. Above all, our combination approach with our clinical nurses and board-certified plastic surgeons can improve the quality of your skin by using at home Melarase creams combined with PRP treatments in our office to improve your skin quality and tone. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with an experienced team of experts in order to reduce your acne scarring. Finally, hyperpigmentation of scars can be improved with at-home Melarase AM, Melarase PM, and Melapads to help reduce active PIH and melanin deposition.Best, Dr. KaramanoukianRealself100 Surgeon
Hi @Carolina1981. I recommend Morpheus 8. Morpheus8 is a non-surgical treatment for full body skin resurfacing, skin tightening, and fat reduction of stubborn areas. It uses minimally invasive fractional radiofrequency energy (RF) to penetrate the skin deeper than other microneedling devices, triggering the skin’s natural healing response to promote skin tightening and lifting.
Microneedling will help tighten the skin. The best procedures will always depend on a lot of a factors. Check out PDO threads also which is a non-surgical neck lift procedure.
Hello, if you're looking for skin tightening your best option would be to go somewhere that has a microneedling device that includes radio frequency. Microneedling alone will help to smooth skin and fine lines, radio frequency however is what will tighten the skin. For best results add PRP or stem cells and keep in mind that you will need a series of treatments.
Microneedling is a great treatment to improve overall skin texture, but regular Microneedling treatments alone are not great at tightening "crepey" skin. You may be able to achieve some tightening if you did a RF (radiofrequency) Microneedling treatment, and added a skin tightening lotion such as Revisions Nectifirm Advanced. Our suggestion for improving skin laxity on an aging neck is usually a full neck Ultherapy treatment, in combination with Nectifirm Advanced.
Hello and thank you for your question. Microneedling is an excellent tool for keeping the skin looking healthy and smooth. It would depend on the degree of laxity and wrinkling of the skin. Our favorite collagen building procedure is thermage with sculptra. Thermage is a heat based procedure that stimulates collagen, lifts and smooth the skin. Sculptra is an injection, sculptra also stimulates collagen production as well. When used together, we have seen excellent results. This procedure is done yearly and must be kept up with to maintain results. Microneedling is not a bad choice, but you may need a little more than just that alone. Hope this helps!

Hi @Carolina1981! I typically recommend 3-6 sessions a month apart. Typically after two sessions you should begin to see some results. I do recommend treating the face and neck together. Hope this was helpful!
