I had a chin implant placed 4 years ago, and I didn't have much trouble with it until maybe 9 months ago. It's making my lip feel very stiff, like it's wrapped too tight around my bottom teeth. My chin feels swollen often, and sometimes it can be difficult to move my bottom lip properly. Is it possible that the implant could be infected after 4 years? I'm wondering if I should have the implant removed and get a sliding genioplasty instead since something seems wrong with it.
