I have already done two areola reductions as well as two fat injections into my tuberous breasts. I really don’t want implants or having another fat-grafting and risking more irregularity other places on my body where the fat has been taken. So, I was wondering if any of you have treated small tuberous breasts without implants and what kind of result I can expect? All I want is to have my natural breasts to look more like they do when they are cold or/and in a compression bra. See illustrations.
Answer: What are tuberous breasts? You are clearly an artist. We usually have to make do with photographs. Tuberous breasts are relatively common. They are narrow-based, constricted, pointy and frequently have disproportionally large nipple-areolar complexes (NACs) often with so-called 'herniation' of breast tissue into them. As you know, the severity may be mild or severe. It is not an attractive look but your condition seems relatively mild. Treatment consists of sub-mammary augmentation (using implants), cross cutting the breast tissue from behind, so it can spread out, and NAC reduction. Fat injections are a very poor substitute for implant augmentation in this scenario since the fat cannot be injected in one large blob to fill out the space created by releasing the constricted breast tissue. Nevertheless it may help a little if you are adamant about not receiving prostheses. NAC reduction, sometimes referred to as a 'Benelli lift' when a non absorbable purse string suture is employed, can be quite effective in mild cases. The breast will become flatter and rounder, but, of course, its base width will not be increased. I suggest you consult an experienced Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and reconsider allowing him/her to use implants as part of the treatment.

Answer: Tubular breasts? Far more important than the technique is the skill and experience of your plastic surgeon. Choose your surgeon rather than the technique and let them explain why one technique may be better than another. See the below link on some suggestions on finding the most qualified Plastic Surgeon for a Breast Augmentation. Always insist on a board certified plastic surgeon.

Answer: Breast lift All lifts that gather the tissue towards the areola in circle actually flatten the breast the more you tighten the skin.In breast augmentation I have chosen to spend time reviewing photographs with patients to fully understand their expectation of size and shape. Many times this simply raises more questions. I will make measurements and use the implant guides to allow the patient to understand exactly the sizes that are reasonable for their body type and measurements. Answer: Benelli Lift and Tuberous breasts - what's best? Benelli Lifts also known as Doughnut Lifts are not true shaping lifts. They sometimes tend to widen the areolas and flatten the nipple. I would suggest a true Lifting procedure which gives the best shape and least visible scars. My favorite is a Veritical Lift. Dr. Costanzo, Thousand Oaks, CA.
