6 months post-op rhinoplasty - crooked/uneven nose tip, or swelling? (Photos)

Hello, I had my rhinoplasty 6 months ago, and i'm worried my nose is crooked at the tip. my nostrils are also uneven. my nose looked straighter right after cast removal, so i'm wondering if this is just swelling thats causing the asymmetry. I have medium-thick skin.

As far as I can see from your photos, it may take 1 to 1.5 years after surgery for the nose to fully take its shape. But I can say that the swelling remaining after 6 months is permanent, so it would be much more correct to have a revision operation, first of all, I recommend that you be examined again by the surgeon who operated you.

We can see a slight asymmetry at the base of your nose, and issues like this can sometimes resolve over the course of a full year after surgery. On front view, your left nostril margin is a bit higher than you're right. If you're nostril margin asymmetry does not improve, depending on your examination, microdroplet Silikon-1000 nasal injections may be considered for improving nostril symmetry on front view without additional surgery. Determining perfect symmetry in rhinoplasty is challenging, and minor asymmetries are common. If you have specific concerns about your nose, it is advisable to consult with your doctor. Nostril adjustments can sometimes be made without major changes, but for other asymmetries, a discussion with your doctor or a skilled facial plastic surgeon is recommended.

Hello and thank you for your question. Based on your photographs, you do appear to have asymmetry in the nostrils, particularly in the soft triangle areas. Sometimes this can improve as the swelling resolves but in your situation, it may not. I would recommend maintaining close follow up with your surgeon. If your surgeon is not able to help, then I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate you in person.
