I was told there would be swelling and itchy redness from skin dryness but this is itchy raised bumps. I had a Venus Viva laser resurfacing treatment.
Answer: Venus Viva treatment Thank you for your question and photographs. After a Venus Viva treatment, it is common to have red grid marks or mild swelling to the face that should resolve in 3-5 days. With that being said, if the redness or itching persists or worsens, then I highly recommend you consult with the provider who performed the procedure. Take care and good luck.

Answer: Probable cream reaction from Venus Viva It appears from your photos that you might have an allergy to the numbing cream that was applied prior to treatment. OR post care products you are using. There should be some mild generalized redness after Venus Viva, but what you are demonstrating appears to be more like contact dermatitis of some kind. I would return to your treating office for a mild steroid like hydrocortisone and/or a Kenalog injection. These won't affect the outcome of your treatment but will stop the inflammation that's occurring.
