Laser and Chemical peels: before or after facelift? (Photo)

Hi. Its been recommended to me that for best facial rejuvenation result I also perform chemical peels and a combination of laser techniques. Does it matter which method I employ first? Can i still have the deep plane facelift before any laser or peel treatments? Many thanks.

The short answer to your question is generally considered best to have the chemical peel following surgery. 
That being said, closeup and full face and profile photos would have been very helpful for addressing whether in fact aggressive, invasive surgery and deep peels are even necessary.. However, from what I can see, it would appear that the expert use of a robust HA volumizing filler for your cheeks would not only create a more feminine, heart-shaped Ogee Curve, but would likely help to diminish the incipient hollowing under the eyes. For further facial shaping, a robust HA contouring filler can be used to better define the lower third of the face and jawline. And, finally, for improving skin tone and texture, a combined regimen of in-office superficial peels, using high concentrations of glycolic or salicylic acid, Jessner's Solution or low concentrations of TCA, along with at athome regimen ot topical Rx retinoids and alpha hydroxyacids would freshen and rejuvenate the skin--and all of the foregoing without aggressive surgery and prolonged downtimes and risks related to surgery and deeper peeling. 
You would be wise to consult with an experienced, board certified certified cosmetic dermatologist before jumping into surgery, especially at what appears from the photo to be a rather early stage of the aging process. Hope this helps and best of luck.

Generally, a deep plane facelift is a surgical procedure that addresses underlying facial structure—lifting and repositioning the tissues—while lasers and chemical peels are more about improving the surface of the skin, like texture, tone, and pigmentation.

You can absolutely have a deep plane facelift before doing lasers or peels. In fact, many surgeons prefer to do the facelift first, allowing the skin to heal and settle, and then use lasers or peels afterward to refine the skin’s appearance. Doing aggressive laser treatments or deep chemical peels before surgery can sometimes make your skin more sensitive or affect healing, so the timing and type of resurfacing need to be carefully planned around your surgery.

In short, the facelift can be done first, and then your laser or peel treatments can be tailored afterward to complement your results. The exact plan depends on your skin type, goals, and the depth of the treatments you’re considering.
