Is it OK if I smoke after 3 months from scar revision?

I had that scar revision surgery 3 months ago and before that I quit smoking for 2 months before surgery and 3 months after surgery. Does it affect on scar healing if I start smoking now? Does it affect the look of it? My doctor told me that scar healing can change up to one year and I'm not sure please enlight me thank you!
