There is some recession of your chin, so chin augmentation is a possibility for you. This augmentation could be accomplished with fillers or a surgically placed implant. Fillers typically are not permanent but the result from the implant would be. Normally, more projection can be obtained with implants over fillers as well. Giving more projection to your chin would help to add balance to your profile.
If your chin was further forward and vertically shorter, it would improve your profile. Have some computer imaging done to see if chin augmentation with (sliding genioplasty) or without (chin implant) would be better.
The side profile shows a weak and recessive chin profile. A Silastic chin implant can be inserted under local anesthesia to give augmentation to the chin to help with facial balance and proportions, especially with respect to your nose. Chin implants are manufactured in a large variety of shapes and sizes which is best determined at the time of the consultation and examination. jordanmarlea, we are always our own worst critics so don't be too distraught! You really need an office exam in person to answer this question without guessing and misleading you. See several experienced facial plastic specialists and go from there. Good luck!
Although your photos are not the best to accurately give you advice, I would say that you could achieve a better profile with a chin implant and concomitant liposuction under the chin area. Obtain a consultation with a facial plastic surgeon who does chin implants regularly.
Hi, I have performed chin augmentation, with chin implants, for over 30 years. From the photo, your chin is very weak and there is excess facial fat below and in front of the cheeks. A weak chin creates a facial imbalance that makes the nose look larger and the mid face appear top heavy. Chin augmentation, with a chin implant, will add projection to the chin creating harmony and balance to the lower face. Facial liposuction can thin and refine the face which can be made softer and more feminine with a dermal filler to the anterior (front) section of the cheeks. Hope this helps.
Far more important than the order of which to do first is the skill and experience of your plastic surgeon at both clinics. Choose your surgeon rather than the technique and let them explain why one technique may be better than another. It is recommended to do both procedures at the same...
Chin implants are manufactured and a large variety of sizes and shapes, are composed of Silastic, and are placed usually under local anesthesia through a submental approach. The arrow is pointing to the pre-jowl sulcus. A pre-jowl implant is designed to give augmentation in that area...
I do not detect any major asymmetry. However your maxilla is retruded and would benefit from augmentation at the bottom of your nose. Your bridge is low and would also benefit from augmentation. You may need tip plasty and tip grafting to correct the bulbous tip. I would not recommend a chin...
