How to fix the gap that appears on each side of my chin? (photos)

You need to make an appointment with your surgeon and share your concerns with him/her. An opinion cannot really be made just by looking at pictures. If there is a gap you might have to have the chin implant altered or consider a filler. Choices include a variety of fillers such as Sculptra, Radiesse, Restylane, Juvederm, Perlane, Voluma etc). These fillers can last for 1-2 years and will give you the ability to judge the improvement with improved dimension and volume. If you like the appearance then I would recommend fat transfer as a more permanent solution.#filler#chinimplant

I really don't find this to be very objectionable but if this bothers you it can be remedied with either dermal filler or a chin implant to augment the pre-jowl area. Hello, in addition to what been mentioned below...another implant, fillers.... you have to option for fat grafting. You can harvest your own fat and then place it into the depressed areas softening the contour to the area. The good thing about fat as oppose to fillers, is that its your own tissue, and what stays after the procedure will live with you have have the potential to have long term correction without the long term risk of fillers other implants in the region. The area of the gap on each side of your chin is referred to as the pre-jowl area.  There are a variety of injectable fillers that could be used to improve your issue and fill in the gap.  

Those sliding genioplasty gaps/defects can be filled in using a variety of materials including prejowl implants or hydroxyapatite granules. Both filler material can be done from an intraoral approach.

 Chin implants are manufactured and a large variety of sizes and shapes, are composed of Silastic, and are placed usually under local anesthesia through a submental approach.  The arrow is pointing to the pre-jowl sulcus. Hi, these "gaps" may represent areas where a sliding ginoplasty was performed and the required bone cuts created.  Using an HA filler, I'd use Restylane Lyft would fill in and re-establish a more uniform contour to the chin/jaw line junction.  Hope this helps.  

This depression can be successfully corrected with the placement of a pre-jowl implant. While this contour is secondary to previous surgery in your case this also frequently occurs in older patients secondary to the aging process. 

the 'dips' are related to the chin surgery. The 'chin' does not 'blend' in to the jawline properly and the correction can be temporary with fillers (less ideal over many many years) or by placing a contouring length of an implant 'strip' across the 'gap' so the jawline is continuous. You could also review the 'back/angle' of the jawline at the same time; as to any desire to highlight the jawline in that area
