There is no upper age limit for procedures. Your surgeon will need to evaluate you in person for that gall bladder scar to determine what can be done. Will also need to confirm you A1c is appropriate.
Hi & thanks for your question! As long as your health is stable, I see no reason why you can not have surgery. Consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to be evaluated and to discuss your options. Best of luck!
Provided you get medical clearance from your primary care physician, you are not too old. Diabetes will increase your risk for complications such as wound healing. You might also consider staging the procedure.
Thank you for your question. Your age should not be the only determining factor on whether or now you are a good candidate for a mommy makeover. Your plastic surgeon would take into account your height, weight, past medical history as well as require preoperative lab work and medical clearances to determine if you are a good candidate for surgery. I would recommend scheduling a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss your results. Best of luck to you!
Thanks for your inquiry, if you are in good health and your primary care doctor feels you can proceed with surgery, I do not think age alone is a important. Your diagonal gallbladder scar will affect the choices you have for incision location, good luck.
Your age and condition shouldn’t prevent you from having a mommy makeover if your primary care physician gives you the green light.
You will need to get medical clearance prior to surgery. You should consult with your diabetic physician to see if you are an acceptable candidate. Once you are cleared medically then surgery is possible. A mommy makeover usually consists of the breasts and abdomen. The technique I recommend for your breasts is The Bellesoma Method. This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided and nipple sensation is maintained. Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.
Dear Nice1555, thanks for sharing your question, if you are controlled as you mentioned, age is not a barrier to have your procedures. Every surgeon have his or her Pre OP protocol, so maybe you must to have medical clearence from your doctor and or see an endocrinologist. Make sure you go on consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon. Hope this helps and best of lucks. Dr. Luis Mejia.
Dear Nice1555,it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Generally speaking, your age is not a contraindication for mommy makeover but your diabetes should be under control. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Age alone is not necessarily a contraindication to surgery, but diabetes and previous surgical scars both increase your complication rate. If your BMI is under 30 it would be worth seeing a Plastic Surgeon, otherwise you would not be a good candidate. Good luck, Jane.
