5.5 months post-op. Not much result to see. One side has grown better than the other, which is patchy. Suggestions? (photos)

It may take 8-12 months before seeing the final results of your hair transplant surgery. If you are concerned with the density and shape, follow up with your surgeon for an exam.

You will see the complete result in 1 year. Meanwhile take your supplemens. 5 month provides 30-40% growth on the transplanted hair.

Hello. I understand your frustration with not seeing results afte 5 months but you need to be patient for a few more months. You should see most of the growth by 8 months and if you don’t at that time I would make an appointment with your surgeon and see what options you have. Good luck.

Hello, Thank you for your question. By 5,5 months you should expect more growth, but you still have at least 6.5 months to see the final results. Contact your surgeon, he might suggest you some treatments which would help with hair growth. 

You are always best suited to wait the full year before judging the success of a transplant. At 5 months, you are just at the early growth stages. If you have concerns, it is best to discuss with the doctor that performed the procedure to see what options are available. 

At 5.5 months I would expect to see better growth but you should wait a full 8 months when 95% of the growth should be out before calling it a failure. Then go back an see your surgeon
