Hello I'm going to be getting breast implants in just over two weeks and I know I need to stop taking all herbal supplements and vitamins and all that, but I take 5-HTP and ALA for my mood. Should I stop these as well? I'm kind of afraid to stop taking it for four weeks (2 weeks before and after) not sure if those affect other parts of the body or just my brain so I don't know if it will interfere with the surgery. Thanks!!

Answer: Breast Implants Dear Bec69202,Hello and thank you for your excellent question. It is best to answer your question during a face-to-face evaluation, when you can discuss your goals and expectations for the procedure, and you can have a physical examination to evaluate for that procedure. You are an excellent candidate for a breast augmentation. I recommend that you find a board-certified, or board-eligible plastic surgeon with whom you are comfortable. Be sure to have all of your questions answered during a face-to-face meeting with your surgeon, and review before and after pictures of similar patients whom have had this procedure. If you have any questions, call our office for assistance. Good luck!
