Do I keep pulling a muscle? 5 years post-op.

Question

I've had my breast implants for 5 years (under the muscle), and throughout that time every 3/4 months I wake up with really bad pain in my right breast (never the left). The pain feels like a pulled muscle/bruised skin and the biggest source of the pain is below the breast and the inner breast. The pain almost entirely disappears within a day or two. It remains soft, and does not appear swollen, however I have trouble sitting up, lifting things, and bending over for the day that it is in pain.

I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment it would be difficult to determine what is wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment. Only after thorough examination you can get proper recommendations and advice.

Thank you for sharing your question.  It does sound as if it is a muscle issue but because of its chronic nature I would recommend speaking with your surgeon to discuss.  Hope this helps.
