Any skin changes can be improved with skin resurfacing procedures.Kenneth Hughes, MDLos Angeles, CA.
Hello and thank you for your question. Based on yourphotograph, you may benefit from a tip refining rhinoplasty. Your surgeon canaccomplish this by trimming, suturing, and reshaping the cartilage in yourlower nose. You may also benefit from a dorsal humpreduction. Make sure you specifically look atbefore and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performedby your surgeon and not just a computer animation system. The most important aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. Irecommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified plasticsurgeon who can evaluate you in person.Best wishes and good luck.Richard G. Treatment to improve your nasal tip skin envelope includes topical metronidazole gel to manage acne rosacea, and laser resurfacing. to manage skin changes My clinic offers co2 laser resurfacing to treat mild to severe rhinophyma . Results can be dramatic. Patients may need more than one treatment as the condition is chronic in nature.
You don't appear to have a rhinophyma. Rhinophyma is usually seen in older men and can be treated surgically with great results. You may, however, have some rosacea and large pores. I would recommend that you see a dermatologist for that. Good luck!
Thank you for your photos. It appears that you have rosacea and possible mild rhinophyma. Milder cases can be treated with topical medications to reduce the inflammation and sebaceous structures adding to the problem. More serious cases may need surgical debulking to remove the thickness of the skin. It is best to have an in-office examination to determine your exact condition and the best treament plan. Hope this helps!Johnson C. Lee, MD Plastic Surgery@drjohnsonlee
Your photos suggest a possible mild case of rhinophyma. More severe cases are often treated by tangential surgical excision (think of it as sequentially shaving the skin down to a smoother surface and letting it heal in on its own), but more mild cases may respond to laser resurfacing. Exam in the office is important in order to assess the severity of the condition, make the formal diagnosis, and offer treatment options.
You don't appear to have rhinophyma. You have larger pores that can be reduced with fractionated CO2 laser. The tip is a bit wide and this can be addressed with a tip rhinoplasty. Seek out a consult from a board-certified rhinoplasty expert who also does laser. Best wishes.
CO2 laser would be recommended to correct and treat rhinophyma. This will address the chronic skin changes. Consult with a board certified plastic surgeon for an in person evaluation.
You can certainly take down some of the nasal bridge and project the tip more to give a sloped appearance. However, it is important to keep a natural appearance and not overdo things. Be sure to see a rhinoplasty specialist for consultation.
When a truly excellent surgeon has a dissatisfied patient, it's almost always because the patient achieved less improvement than she and the surgeon were hoping for. It's just about never the case that something went off the rails and the nose looks completely wrong. An excellent surgeon can ...
Thanks for your question. My opinion is - never put a silicone implant in the nose. Your new nose has to last you the rest of your lifetime. 20 or 30 years from now you can still get an infected silicone implants which cause the implant to break through the skin (extrude)....
