I am 31, want liposuction. I am not overweight, but my face is lol. I hate it, whenever I take a picture im fat looking. My question is, if I get lipo, what are the chances of getting neck bands, from excess skin? It is the fear that is keeping me from making a decision. I have had a consultation with a doctor, he said I shouldnt need a neck lift...But I feel like my skin will sag afterward, it is not greatly firm....Thoughts?
Answer: 31 Year Old Male Neck Lipo or Neck Lift?
In many cases, a 31 year old person will do very well with liposuction alone. We are relying on the skin to tighten and contour following liposuction. However, in someone your age, without severe sun damage, this is usually adequate. I hope this information is helpful.

Answer: Skin Tightening for the Neck -- Kybella, Ultherapy, Thermage, PDO NovaThreads vs VASER Hi-Def, ThermiRF, Renuvion, BodyTite "A combination approach would give the most improvement. Nonsurgical options such as Kybella, PDO NovaThreads, and Ultherapy do well in combination for skin tightening, but the results are mild compared to surgical options. I would recommend a VASER Hi-Definition Liposuction with ThermiRF, Renuvion (J Plasma) and InMode BodyTite to contour and tighten the chin and neck. A neck lift can be performed at the same time, if you're a good candidate. I suggest seeing a board-certified cosmetic dermatologist to develop a personalized treatment plan that works for you. Best, Dr. Emer."

Answer: Neck Lipo or Neck Lift? Neck Lift vs Lipo - How to DecideLipo vs Neck Lift or both? It all depends on your exam - Your plastic surgeon will evaluate you for three main features:1.Amount of excess fat (needs lipo or direct removal).2.Presence of Significant Platysmal Banding (requires playsmaplasy or Botox)3.Amount of excess Skin and condition of your skin. For example younger age, darker skin colors and no large weight loss history means there will be better elasticity and therefore better post surgical contraction. In milder cases if not too much fat is present there will be enough skin shrinkage with just lipo alone. However for moderate and severe skin redundancy a neck lift or lower facelift is needed with or without lipo for best results. Mild to minimal skin tightening using non surgical means like the Sciton Laser SkinTyte procedure, Ultherapy or Thermage could also be considered. If you are young as your photos appear, I would recommend just doing Liposuction as you can always later on do a neck lift if needed. Thermage and Ultherapy will not address the fat component of your problem and at best result in mild skin tightening in my experience. In your particular case probably just lipo and maybe a non-surgical skin tightening procedure would be a good place to start though an exam would be required for the best advice.

Answer: 31 Year Old Male Neck Lipo or Neck Lift?
Looking at your photogram, I think you are a good candidate for liposuction of the neck. It is pretty early to perform a neck lift on a 31 year old. Liposuction is an effective and minimally invasive procedure, and recovery is faster.

Answer: Neck fat
Hello. I agree with your doctor. I would start out with a conservative liposuction procedure to the neck. You would be surprised how much "snap back" you get from the skin. You are too young to have loose skin, so I would try a simpler option first. Good luck.
