Kybella for slight double chin?

I have a slight double chin that bothers me because I am already very thin. I'd love to get rid of it but don't actually want all of it gone, because it softens off my somewhat pointy chin and I feel like a very, very slight one would work with my face. I've read that it takes 3-4 treatments to see results. If I'm not looking to get rid of all of it and already don't have much fat, how likely would I be able to achieve my desired results with only 1-2 treatments?

Thank you for your question.  Kybella was approved for up to 6 treatments in the submental area and a patient can theoretically have more than 6 treatments if there is treatable areas, but this begs the question of if this would be financially responsible when there are...

Can lumps/swelling from kybella be permanent ever?

The vast majority of lumps under the chin do resolve over time. Our office has never had a permanent nodule, or bulb of tissue after the allotted healing time from Kybella injections. We do suggest gentle massaging of the area to help while you are healing.

Fishyface:Yes, if areas of fullness remain after lipo, Kybella is a great treatment to clean those up. It's effective, with minimal downtime and has less risk than getting further lipo.Good luck!

Dear csummerskill,Kybella typically takes 3 to 5 treatments to work. This is why I've stopped carrying Kybella in my office.  I recommend neck liposuction more often then any injectable procedure for the neck now. It provides superior results gives me more control over the area than any ...

How long can Kybella be stored once the vial has been open?

Kybella is stored at room temperature and does not require reconstitution.  The expiration date will be printed on the packaging/bottle.

Is uneven swelling indicative of results with Kybella?

Swelling can be asymmetrical and you can do massage and RF treatments to speed up the healing.  Best, Dr. Emer.
