56 year old man with rather severe overgrowth of the glands of the nose (Rhinophyma) with the cobblestone effect seen on the surface. The solution for this problem is a contouring of the nose with very small baby steps in each shaving/cauterization/dermabrasion/judgement aspects of the case. It is quite remarkable at the table as each area is improved and judged as the surgeon moves over the nose to try to get the best result. This patient is seen at 3 weeks post op. After the shaping, it is noted that the nostrils are asymmetric but this would seem that this was the case before the contouring as you can see from the pre op nostril view.
