Our patient is a 41 year old Female who is 1 year status post Tummy Tuck with Liposuction. She has had 2 C sections and was unhappy with the bulging of her abdomen, overhanging skin and overall abdominal contour. She is 52 and weighed 156 lbs on the day of surgery. Her current weight is 125 lbs. She has gone down several clothing sizes. This 42-year-old man came to our practice requesting Smartlipo liposuction for the abdomen and flanks. He had heard that Smartlipo technology can help to increase skin tone and potentially tighten skin. We both liked this idea better than a tummy tuck for a variety of reasons. At the time of his procedure he was 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighed 191.6 pounds on the office scale.  

In this case, the total aspirate (volume of fat and tumescent fluid) removed from these areas was just under 2,000 cc. Interestingly, he chose not to take any pain medications either during or after the procedure. He simply said he didn't need it.
