Abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), Flank Liposuction

I use a “high lateral tension” tummy tuck technique. The key is to design the pattern of tissue removal so that the scar is as low as possible. This allows the scar to be hidden under standard clothing, but a very well-placed scar can make it invisible even in a bikini. Contouring is like sculpting – the surgeon must have an eye for symmetry and shape and hands for molding, just as a sculptor does with clay. For the flanks, I performed balanced liposuction which I do in nearly all of my tummy tuck patients.
