This patient was unhappy with the results of her tummy tuck done by another doctor.  I did a REVISION tummy tuck.  I lowered her scar so that it could be covered in underwear and bikini bottoms.  I did VASER ultrasound Liposuction 360 to thin and shape her waist giving her a more hourglass shape.  I re-plicated her muscles in the midline and on the sides to cinch in her waist and flatted her abdomen more.  Finally, I revised her belly button to make it more inset and smaller.

This is a male patient who developed an umbilical hernia.  The general surgeon he saw wanted to make an incision across his abdomen above the belly button.  He thought it should be done a little more artfully as he didn't want a scar.  He also wanted a nice belly button when he was done.

We were able to hide all of the incisions (both for the hernia and the cosmetic belly button surgery) within the borders of the umbilical rim.

This patient complained that her belly button was too wide and too shallow.  I was able to help her improve both of these dimensions with a cosmetic umbilicoplasty (belly button surgery).  It was a fun little case that I performed in my office under local anesthesia.&nbsp;

This is a 24 year old woman who had a baby and says that her belly button never looked the same since.  She had some stretch marks, but was not ready for a tummy tuck.  I should add that at her age, and with such a slender physique I really didn't want to do a tummy tuck anyway.

We decided to perform umbilicoplasty, that is cosmetic surgery for the belly button, in the office under local anesthesia.  After re-arranging the tissues of the umbilicus a few times, I think I was able to create an innie belly button.

This is a 40 year old woman who had a tummy tuck done elsewhere and lost her belly button.  That is, it seemed not to survive the operation and she was left with a rather flat scar in the middle of her abdomen. &nbsp;I decided to attempt reconstruction using a few different basic plastic surgery tricks - nothing too fancy, but they worked out well.  She now has a somewhat natural appearing completely reconstructed belly button (neo-umbilicus).&nbsp;

This beautiful mom of two underwent Tummy tuck with Liposuction, as well as Diastasis Recti Repair to create a flatter and more defined abdominal contour.  Her umbilical hernia was repaired and reconstructed at the same time creating a small innie belly button with minimal scarring on the outside.The scars will continue to fade over time.

1) Youll see how this patients scar is kept low (under most clothing, bathing suit, and underwear lines) and the scar comes up symmetrically on both sides. 2) The belly button (umbilicus) has been raised to a more elevated position to correct the natural droop seen with weight gain/loss. 3) The contour of the lower abdomen just above the incision line has been brought flat/smooth with the pubic area. 4) The skin crease below the bra line on the side has been smoothed out to give a nice contour to the back/hip

This patient is shown 6 months post abdominoplasty and breast augmentation surgery. As you can see in her before photos, she had a large hernia coming up from the centre of her bellybutton which had stretched out the natural bowl of the bellybutton. After we fixed the hernia during surgery, we created a neo-umbilicus and sited it slightly higher for a more rejuvenated look. As you can see on the side photo, there is good depth and contour to the neo-umbilicus and a much improved abdominal contour as well!Note: This patient had a low vertical-T scar extension of her tummy tuck to allow us to set her scar as low as possible.
