The patient underwent a high lateral SMAS face and necklift. The SMAS elevation supports the facelift so that their is minimal tension on the skin and enhance the possible longevity of the face and necklift. Along with the face and necklift she also had fat transfer to the face. Fat was transferred tough out the face and temples to restore the volume she has lost over time as we age. The combination of tightening and filling of the face gives her a much more youthful but natural appearance. This pictures show her two month result.

This active middle-aged woman presented to our Center with the concerns of heaviness in her upper eyelids, thinning of her midface/cheeks, and mild drooping of her jawline. She stated that she looked tired and sad all of the time due to the overall deflation of most of her face.Her initial exam revealed significantly hooded eyelids to the point where no part of her lid could be seen, deflation of her cheek pads, and mild laxity(looseness) of her lower 1/3 of her face including the jawline.We decided together that the proper plan of action to address her needs would be to perform an upper blepharoplasty, a jawline lift, and to augment her cheeks with her own fat (autologous fat transfer from fat from her abdomen).Under local anesthesia and oral sedation with xanax (no IV or General Anesthesia was needed), all three procedures were performed in one sitting in under 3 hours time.Her results demonstrate significant, and natural, opening of her eyelids, increased volume in her cheeks, and a sharpened and tighter jawline. She was able to return to full/normal activity after 10 days.

This young man was unhappy with the volume loss in his midface/cheeks and hollowing appearance. He had used artificial filler in the past but did not prefer to have yearly injections to maintain his result (in addition to the yearly cost of product). After evaluation together we decided to perform fat transfer to his midface and cheeks. We performed the rejuvenating procedure in our Center under local anesthesia with mild oral sedation. Fat was harvested from his lower abdomen and the small incision under the belly button was closed with a single stitch. We placed approximately 10 cc's of fat (2 teaspoons equivalent) on each side via small insertion sites (no stitches required). In addition, we placed a small chin implant to help create more structure in his lower face and jawline.His results demonstrate stronger and more defined cheeks and chin (with good balance). His healing time was approximately one week before he could go back to work.

Another beautiful example of my Define lift. You can see the natural elevation of her brows giving her some upper eyelid show without needing a blepharoplasty. Her jawline and her cheeks are elevated due to my extended deep facelift, as well as judicious fat grafting to the midface. Her neck is clean and crisp. This is due to my deep neck lift which I adjusted the glands to tighten the muscles of the platysma, she is in her late 40s or early 50s and this is the perfect time for an intervention because her collagen and elastin are still good. She still looks amazing and the lift will be durable and last for several years. This is the defined lift difference subtle but substantial.
