Our patient is a 32-year-old Hispanic female who had previously been morbidly obese and reached a highest weight of 335 pounds. Through diet, exercise, and Ozempic, she reduced her weight to 215 pounds before seeking help from Dr. Katzen for her abdomen. She underwent a tummy tuck, also known as an abdominoplasty, under general anesthesia. During the procedure, Dr. Katzen removed loose abdominal skin and excess tissue, tightened the abdominal wall, and improved the contour of the lower abdomen and waist. This type of tummy tuck after weight loss is designed for patients who have hanging skin, lower belly fullness, and abdominal laxity that cannot be corrected with exercise or medication alone. Our patient is a 24-year-old Hispanic male who weighed 134 lbs at the time of surgery. He felt frustrated by excess abdominal skin after weight loss achieved through diet and exercise. Dr. Timothy Katzen recommended a tummy tuck, also known as abdominoplasty, to remove excess skin and create a flatter, firmer abdomen. Under general anesthesia, Dr. Katzen designed a low incision intended to sit beneath underwear lines whenever possible, then carefully removed the stretched skin that was hanging and wrinkling across the lower abdomen. When needed, he tightened the abdominal wall by bringing the separated or weakened muscles back toward the center to improve core support and reduce forward bulging. The remaining skin was recontoured to achieve a smoother surface, and the navel was repositioned to achieve a natural appearance that matches the new shape. Internal layered sutures were used to support closure and promote clean scar healing, and drains and compression are often used short-term to control swelling and fluid accumulation. These photos were taken 3 months after surgery, and his results are already remarkable, showing a more defined waistline, reduced lower-abdominal laxity, and a tighter, athletic silhouette that should continue to refine as swelling subsides. He was advised on drain care and scar management, and on a gradual return to workouts, to protect the incision and muscle repair, since swelling and firmness can continue to improve for several more months.

Our patient is a 54-year-old Asian female who came to Dr. Timothy Katzen seeking a flatter, smoother abdomen after struggling with excess abdominal skin and fat that would not improve on its own. She wanted a body transformation that would help her midsection look more refined and better proportioned. To address these concerns, Dr. Katzen performed a tummy tuck, also known as an abdominoplasty, under general anesthesia. This procedure is designed to remove loose abdominal skin, reduce excess fatty tissue, and tighten the abdominal contour for a firmer overall appearance. During surgery, Dr. Katzen carefully made a low abdominal incision so the resulting scar could sit as discreetly as possible. He then lifted the abdominal skin, removed the excess tissue, and reshaped the remaining skin so it could be re-draped smoothly across the stomach. Our patient is a 42-year-old White male who had previously been morbidly obese and reached a highest weight of 350 pounds. Through diet and exercise, he reduced his weight to 215 pounds, but he was still bothered by skin left behind on his abdomen, hips, lower back, buttocks, outer thighs, back, and sides. Dr. Katzen performed a circumferential lower body lift and a torsoplasty, also known as a back lift with vertical incisions on both sides, while the patient was under general anesthesia. During the circumferential body lift, Dr. Katzen removed excess skin and tissue around the lower torso to improve the abdomen, waist, hips, lower back, buttocks, and outer thighs. This 360 lower-body lift helped reduce sagging skin and create a smoother lower-body contour. During torsoplasty, Dr. Katzen removed loose back skin and tissue through vertical incisions on both sides to tighten the back, smooth the sides, and improve torso shape.
