This 37 year old woman presents about 10 years after having breast augmentation from a so-called "cosmetic surgeon". She had implants placed in breasts that were ptotic (droopy) despite this fact the cosmetic surgeon did not perform a mastopexy (lift) which was clearly necessary. This patient was unhappy and requested correction. This involved removing the implants, removing the scar tissue capsule around the implants and closing the space so that proper healing could take place. A mastopexy (breast lift) was then performed and she is now seen about nine months after surgery; the shape is natural and the scars have already faded significantly. She desired only her natural breasts and wanted the implants removed.
